Illustratory goodness

Did two sketches today in Illustrator. This first one is a view outside my living room window. It's been beautifully sunny for the past week and today's sky was this beautiful light cerulean blue. Very wonderful colors. :D

This illustration was inspired by Ragnar's work (brilliant illustrator!! love his style and colors). The lady sort of ended up looking a bit Russian. Dunno why, maybe it's the hat ;)

Hurrah, I've been shown the intricacies of Illustrator. I did this sketch in CS3. It's baby Jason ^_^ He was such an adorable baby! 'Course, he's still adorable now too. hehe.

A Li'l Robot Love

I just made this for my grandad, who is having heart surgery at some point soon. I hope it gets to him in time!! <3<3

Here's a quickie of Wonka in color! I'm having a tough time finding decent settings in Illustrator for brushes and selections.....they hide them all so well >.<;;

Character sketches and whatnot

Apologies for the delay in updating. I've been slacking recently in favor of watching Flight of the Conchords (brilliant).
Here are some sketches I did yesterday. First sketch is character designs for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, which I think would look awesome as an animated series in Hubley cartoon style ^_^ Think the next step will be to get a good comp going with Wonka's factory in the background and do it all up fancy in Illustrator. I was going to say Flash, but I think I need to further discover the wonders of Illustrator.


Next sketch is some insane-o people at work. And I really mean insane. But fun to sketch out. ^_^
